MISSION STATEMENT OF CENTRAL CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH
We are an Open and Affirming¹ spiritual community where all are invited to join in the journey of faith. Whatever your race, gender, nationality, ethnicity, sexual orientation, economic circumstance, marital status, physical or developmental ability or religious background, you are welcome here. As a Christian community we come together to celebrate in worship and uphold each other through life’s challenges. We welcome all people to share in this revelation of the living, loving God.²

The church is located in Jamaica Plain, an eclectic neighborhood of Boston, MA; a short walk from the Green Street station on the MBTA Orange Line. We have plenty of free parking. Map This Location.

² We at Central Congregational Church (UCC) want to do our best to welcome everyone into our church and building for worship and other community events. For years we have been challenged with the task to make our building fully accessible, both for our current members and for guests.  Although wheelchair access is available to the lower level of the building, including public events in Capen Hall, the cost of providing wheelchair access to the upstairs level, which includes the sanctuary, has been more than we could afford to date. It remains an aspiration for us. If there is any other accommodation which would be helpful and which we might arrange, please let us know.  We currently have members and guests with a range of mobile abilities that either requires direct assistance or peripheral assistance to enter the building. We are aware of the limiting position of our building and, with God’s help, hope to make it more fully accessible.
