Our Vision

We are a diverse group of spirit-filled individuals. Our ages range nearly a century, we come from many different cultures and backgrounds, and our diversity represents a microcosm of what Jamaica Plain is like. Some folks at Central have been coming for nearly 80 years, while others have joined more recently, and even more are contemplating the decision of membership—one that is a personal and a spiritual journey.

If you have recently visited Central, we thank you for visiting and welcome you to visit again. If you have been attending more frequently, we hope your participation is fulfilling. We are a small congregation, and new guests are often acknowledged easily, and we believe this adds to our feeling of community.

No matter who you are or where you are on life’s spiritual journey, you are welcome at Central Congregational Church. We are an Open & Affirming* congregation, welcoming all people no matter what your sexuality or sexual-identity is.  In recognizing that the path to spiritual fulfillment is not the same for everyone, we welcome people’s different interpretations of scripture, spiritual text, and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Iglesia Hispana Comunitaria

Mosaic School
The Mosaic School is a small early childhood program that invites children from all families to learn, explore, question and bond. We believe that each child is unique, naturally curious and ready for independence. This step in their development is crucial to the way we approach our curriculum. We look at each group enrolled and find the needs of each student. All children learn in their own unique way. At The Mosaic School we will celebrate their need for autonomy but challenge and support their needs to be social. We feel learning can be fun, challenging and successful.
